difference between adult and baby tooth
baby tooth are smaller,whiter...all of them should exfoliate at around 12 years of age
Reply:I am a RDH. licensed in two states.. You have 20 primary teeth - sometimes called deciduous or milk teeth, because they are so white. They usually exfoliate by age12. But, it is not impossible that you may not have lost all your baby teeth even by 15. Usually at this age you have 28 teeth. This includes 2 front teeth (centrals), 2 Laterals (next to the center ones), 2 canines, 2 premolars or sometimes called bicuspids and 2 molars. These are on each arch (upper %26amp; lower) so you should have 28 teeth. Then around 19=23 the wisdom teeth start to erupt. However, not everyone has them, and sometimes, they never develop, and sometimes they do not erupt. They are unpredictable. You really should be checked by a dentist, especially if you are experiencing discomfort. You want to eliminate any future problems such as an abscess. But to answer your first question, the difference is you lose your baby teeth, but you don%26#039;t get a second chance with your adult - permanent teeth - so its very important to take good care of them.
